Privacy policy

Brite's Cards Photo Updater is being developed as a Windows utility for Brite's Cards to update photos on its own eBay listings. This policy describes the intended use of information for that utility. It is not a public service for other sellers.

Information the utility uses

The utility is intended to use the seller's eBay authorization, listing IDs, listing titles, custom labels, existing listing photo URLs, and selected photo files on the seller's computer. These details allow the seller to match each listing to the correct front and back photos and review proposed updates.

The photo-update workflow does not require buyer names, shipping addresses, payment details, or order records. It is not intended to request those details.

How information is used and shared

Listing information is used to prepare a preview, identify matching photos, perform seller-confirmed photo updates, and record results. Selected photos and the authorization needed for a request are sent to eBay over HTTPS. eBay stores and displays uploaded listing photos under its own policies.

The intended utility does not sell seller information or use it for advertising. It has no planned advertising or analytics service. If the seller's selected folders are synced with OneDrive or another backup service, that service may receive the files under the seller's own settings and its policies.

Authorization and local records

The seller signs in to eBay through eBay's authorization process. The utility is intended to use access tokens rather than collect the seller's eBay password. Credentials and tokens should be kept on the seller's computer and excluded from reports and screenshots.

Previews, operation reports, and recovery records are intended to remain in seller-selected folders until the seller deletes them. Such records may contain listing IDs, titles, labels, photo URLs, and file paths. They should be retained as long as they are needed to check or recover an update.

Seller control

The seller selects the photos and listings to process and reviews the proposed matches before confirming changes. The seller can stop using the utility, remove local credentials and records, and revoke its authorization through eBay account settings. Revoking access or deleting local files does not automatically remove photos already published on eBay.

This privacy page

This page contains no forms, photo uploads, account sign-in, analytics scripts, or application cookies. Its hosting provider may process normal connection information, such as an IP address and request details, to serve and protect the page. It does not receive the utility's eBay credentials or listing-photo files through this page.

Questions about this utility or policy may be directed to Brite's Cards through eBay's seller messaging feature on a Brite's Cards listing or seller profile. If the utility's handling of information changes, this page will be updated before the changed workflow is used.
